Celebrating Community and Partnership with Parents

We value our partnership with parents. Here at Parkway Pre-School, we celebrate the special community that forms year in, year out. Our families are the heart and soul of our place.

We even have a cherry tree at the front of the preschool and it a beautiful gathering place. A place that belongs to the playfulness of children and the meetings between new and old friends/parents.

We are usually available to answer any queries and will arrange meetings with Keyworkers /Manager whenever you need to.

Communication

We use “Footsteps” to share observations of your child and you are also free to add any home learning experiences too.

We also have a Facebook page and you can always get a sense of what your child may have been up to!

You are the most important factor in the success of your child’s development and when they are happy, they make friends and learn!

settling in

For those children who are not used to being left in the care of others we recommend a shorter session for the first few days finishing at 11am. If this is in any way inconvenient, please let us know. If your child is especially upset for any length of time, we will contact you and perhaps suggest you leave them for a shorter time, gradually extending to a full session when they are happier.

"In 16 years of working in childcare I have never known such a brilliant setting! The staff (and I mean everyone from management to volunteers and everyone in-between) and level of care is phenomenal, they genuinely care about the children and really put the time in to get to know each child individually. The staff are so warm and nurturing and they make sure that the setting itself is a safe and fun place to be! They always ensure there is enough staff so that the children are not only adequately supervised but also enough that they can do nice activities and engage with the children to help aid their development so they can thrive. I used to work at Parkway myself and honestly would not choose anywhere else to send my children and recommend it to everyone. My son loves it there and runs in smiling and that says it all really. The teacher to parent communication is brilliant. They do lots of little events like Sports day, Summer Fete and Easter and Christmas shows. They celebrate the children's achievements and build their confidence, they teach the children to be kind and caring and they are just all round angels on earth! If you want somewhere where the children's happiness is priority and where they will be safe and nurtured look no further! Cannot recommend this place highly enough! Thank you for everything you do!"
