Why Parkway Pre-school

Our goal at the preschool is to provide an inclusive learning experience that encourages children to think critically and explore their interests in a nurturing environment. We strive to provide a safe learning space where every child feels valued and respected as an individual.

Our core values are to empower children through play-based learning experiences that foster creativity, collaboration, critical thinking skills, self-awareness, empathy, problem solving skills, communication skills, physical development skills and more!

Key worker

Each child is assigned their own keyworker.

The key person responds sensitively to children’s feelings and behaviours and meets emotional needs by giving reassurance, such as when they are new and supporting the child’s well-being. That person is a familiar figure who is accessible and available as a point of contact for parents and one who builds relationships with the child and parents or carers.

Our groups are namely Squirrels, Koalas, Pandas and Giraffes

The keyworker will ensure the tracking of each of their children and also hold small group time activities. They will provide observations for parents to view.

Meet The Team

Lunch Club

Lunch is a good time to refuel and for the children to sit with their friends and reflect on the day.

We ask parents to provide a healthy, nut free, packed lunch and we trust the children to manage their own eating. We follow Ellyn Satter’s Division of responsibility.

It is also the perfect opportunity to be exposed to new foods – if our friends are eating them we may want to try them too!
